Program: Representatives from a diverse selection of some of Niigata's most notable sake breweries will join us for a special evening focusing on the art of sake tasting and food pairing. Build up your sake knowledge with first hand advice from a friendly and passionate group of brewers from throughout Niigata paying us a very special sake-powered visit here in Roppongi!

"Rice Harvest Hands-on!"
Target & Price: parent & child pair (ages 5 & up) 3,500 yen; individual adult 3,500 yen
Program: This first session is a chance take part in the entire process of bringing delicious "shin-mai" (autumn harvest rice) to the dinner table, from threshing to polishing, you'll get the chance to see and taste first hand just exactly what sort of work goes into making this precious staple so tasty. And for the adults, master brewer of Taiyo Shuzo will be offering a special sake lecture highighting the renowned sake rice variety referred to as "tane-nishiki", as well as holding a special tasting session. Being educated makes it taste all that much better!

"Taiyo Shuzo Sake Brewery Tour & Shiobiki (Salted) Salmon Workshop"
Program: Travel to the town of Murakami in Niigata Prefecture for a true "taste" of tradition! Open to individuals, families, friends, or groups, this once-in-a-lifetime experience is only possible here with the team at International TERAKOYA! Bring yourself one big setp closer to Niigata, traditional food, and the world of sake this November!
*Round-trip travel expenses to and from Niigata are not included in the price and are the responsibility of the participant.

"Niigata Rice & Traditional Foods"
Target & Price: adults, 4,000 yen per person
Program: A special cooking demonstration class focusing on Niigata's fantastic "rice pairing" food culture, highlights include "shokkara", salted pilchard sardine cuisine unique to the Echizenhama region, "shiobiki salmon" from Murakami, which some participants may have made in the previous session, as well as red turnip arrangements and plenty of other unique offerings! And of course, plenty of tasty all natural Niigata rice!
■February 10 (Sunday)
"Niigata Snow & Sake Fest in Roppongi!"
Target & Price: parent & child pair 2,000 yen; individual adults 2,000 yen
Program: We're bringing the snow all the way from Murakami City in Niigata to the YARD here at Roppongi Nouen, where you'll have the chance to make your own "Yuki Hotaru", lighting candles and creating an enchanting winter wonderland right smack in the heart of Roppongi. To top it all of, sit back and sip on a tasty selection of top-quality premium sake while relaxing in our own little winter paradise!

- Storybook performance introducing the history and nature of "warabi", and an explanation as to how we're going to turn "warabi-ko" (bracken starch) into something deliciously fantastic!
- Time to make "warabi-ko"!
- "Warabi-ko" taste test!
- Enjoy a light meal created using local ingredients, emphasizing the brilliant local food culture of Yamanomura, a small village in the rural mountain foothills of Gifu Prefecture.
- Time for dessert - "Warabi Sweets"!

Utilizing board games as a tool for communication and learning, children discover the fun and complexity of analog games while developing critical thinking skills and learning to cooperate and communicate through play.
May 23 and 30 : Kids Chorus (Kohei Awa)
Kids work their bodies and vocal chords into a musical frenzy while learning about the basics sound, rhythm and harmony, turning music into an opportunity for learning and expression that's enjoyable for everyone.
June 6 and 13 : Kids Drama Workshop (Kenjiro Otani)
Discover one's individual character and explore the power of expression by learning the tricks of the stage. Convey, think about and share ideas in order to develop communication skills and creativity.
June 20 and 27 : Arts and Crafts Workshop (Yuki Tonomura)
Leaving all preconceptions of "skill" related to art and drawing at the door, this class provides kids with the chance to share and express what's on their mind by drawing, painting, cutting and pasting whatever their imaginations will let them create.
